Makin' Easter Rice Krispie treats with Eggies

This is the second year we have had fun making Rice Krispie Treat shaped eggs filled with jelly beans using Eggies! I like that they are made to be used with food, they are dishwasher safe so the clean up is so easy and the bottoms are flat so they don't roll around on the table. With a set of 6 you can make a bunch in no time! Fill the bottom halves with the Rice Krispie mixture, hollow out a space to insert jelly beans and then stick them together! Put in a pretty bag for gift giving!

For full disclosure I have had the pleasure of meeting the inventor, Betsy Kaufman and she is so great that she even bought me a box of Eggies and autographed it!

Also see her own this clip from the Jeff Prosbst show!

  1. recipe: 3 tbs of butter or margarine - melt about 45 seconds in microwave,
then add 10 oz bag of marshmallows, microwave about 90 seconds or until melted. Stir and then pour in 6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal. Mix together then start shaping into the bottom half of the Eggie.
